These instructions only apply to applications for the Fall 2022 DICAS application. For information about applications for programs that begin in 2023, refer to the WebAdMIT Help Center

Comments

DICAS staff uses the Comments tab to communicate any specific notes about an applicant. For example, if an applicant decided to withdraw their application from a particular site, DICAS would add a comment explaining this. To review a comment, click the hyperlink in the Date field (which indicates the date the comment was populated). 

Decisions

As selection officers you can set decisions for individual applicants. These decisions will be viewed by your selection committee and faculty. Applicants cannot access them. The following decisions are available:

  • Under review
  • Review completed
  • Invited to interview
  • Not invited to interview
  • Interviewed and not ranked
  • Ranked
  • More information required
  • Incomplete application
  • Late application
  • Rejected
  • Hold
  • Wait List
  • Withdrew

Local Status

Local status is a customizable field for your selection team. This status can be applied to any applicant that you individually assign it to. For example, you can create a local status of “In state.”

Once you assign this status to any applicant, the status cannot be deleted.

Revisions

After an applicant completes their application, they may need to revise it with new information. If an applicant enters new information, a date will appear in the Revision column with the name of the field(s) that were changed.

Transcript/Reference

The Documents tab contains the transcripts and letter(s) of recommendation that were entered by the applicants. Once a document is received, a date will populate.
