Cycle Dates

Review the important application cycle dates below. In some instances, the individual program's deadline may differ from the application's cycle dates. To view a program's deadline date, click Add Program and review the information under Deadline. You can submit your application up until 11:59 PM in your local time zone on the deadline date.

While the cycle close date is the final date you can submit your Common App for transfer application, Common App for transfer has additional final application processing dates for managing your application. Note the dates and submission times below.

Cycle Dates for the 2026-2027 Application Cycle

The Common App for transfer application cycle opens.	July 31, 2026
The Common App for transfer application cycle closes. The last date you can: Create an account. Submit your application. Request recommendations. If you are in the Undelivered status, this is the last date you can re-submit your application.	July 29, 2027 at 5 PM in the local time zone
The last date your transcripts are matched to your application. Be sure to request your transcripts in advance so they are received by this date.	July 29, 2027 at 5 PM ET
The last date your recommenders can submit their recommendations. All application processing ends.	July 29, 2027 at 11:59 PM in the local time zone

Coupon Codes

Some programs provide coupon codes that offset application fees. If you received a coupon code from your program, use the information below to apply it to your payment.

Note that you cannot redeem a program's coupon code after you submit your application to them. Additionally, if you miss a program deadline due to waiting for a coupon code, you must request a deadline extension from your program, not Common App for transfer.

Using a Coupon Code

You can apply your coupon code(s) when you are ready to submit your application.

Click My Programs in the top right of the application.
Click the Submit Programs button.
Review your program selections and click Continue.
On the payment page, click the plus icon for Coupon Codes and enter the coupon code you received from the programs.
Click Add.
Complete the rest of the payment details pages.

Note the following:

When a coupon code equals the total transaction amount, you don't need to enter additional payment information.
When a coupon code is less than the total transaction amount, you'll need to enter payment information for the additional balance.
When a coupon code is more than the total transaction amount, you don't need to enter additional payment information. However, you'll forfeit the remaining balance offered by the coupon code, as Common App for transfer will not issue credits or carry remaining balances forward.
A coupon code cannot be applied to chargeback fees.

If you used a coupon code when submitting to a program, the code will be listed under Payment History.
