Update Your Profile

You can update basic information about yourself and your background on the My Profile and Extended Profile pages. To access, click your name in the upper right of the application and select My Profile or Extended Profile.

My Profile

Your Legal Name

Enter or update your legal name, including suffixes. Common App for transfer will use this name in all communications.

Contact Information

Enter or update your email address and phone number(s).

Text and Phone Authorization

Click the checkbox to agree to the Terms of Service and authorize calls and/or text messages to the mobile phone number entered in the Contact Information section above.

Account Information

Use this section to change your username.

European Union Data Protection

Indicate if you are currently located in a European Union country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland.

Privacy & Security

Use this section to change your password.

If desired, you can set up two-factor authentication (2FA) using any standard 2FA app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc.). To do so:

  1. Click Set Up.
  2. Scan the provided QR code with your phone using a 2FA app, or copy the code and paste it into the 2FA app.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to complete the setup.
  4. Click Enable.

Extended Profile

College Credits Earned

Select the number of college credits you will have earned when you enroll at the college you are applying to.

Date of Birth

Indicate if you were born before the specified date.

Degree Status

Indicate if you will have earned an educational degree by the time you enroll at the college you are applying to.

Community College Status

Indicate if you are transferring from a community college.

Degree Goal

Indicate what degree or certificate you are applying for.

US Military History Status

Indicate if you are currently serving in the military, have previously served in the military, or are a military dependent.

Payment History

In this section, you can review your payment history. Click View Order Details to see a copy of your receipt(s). Note that it may take up to 24 hours for recent payments to post to your account and be visible on this page.
