InterCAS Transfer Service for Health Professions
Overview
The InterCAS Transfer Service for Health Professions allows an institution with multiple health profession CASs on campus the ability to offer students who were not admitted to the program they applied to in one CAS the opportunity to be considered for admission to a program in another CAS without the need to reapply. InterCAS does this by moving their application materials from one CAS to another within the same application cycle.
Program administrators are strongly encouraged to speak with their colleagues in other health profession degree programs about this recruitment strategy before attempting to encourage applicants who applied to other professions at the same institution to apply to their program.
Recommended Applicant Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should meet one of the following requirements:
- The applicant applied to and was denied admission by another health profession CAS at the same parent institution (university) as the program initiating the transfer.
- The applicant applied to and was denied admission by another health profession CAS within the same admissions cycle (e.g., 2026-2027) and for the same entering class year as the program initiating the transfer.
- The applicant currently has a verified application status in the CAS to which they originally applied (i.e., neither undelivered nor on hold).
- The applicant has granted the institution permission to transfer via a signed authorization form created and collected by the institution.
Applicant Authorization
The institution is solely responsible for obtaining permission and the appropriate release form from the applicant to authorize Liaison to transfer the applicant's record. By submitting an applicant's name to Liaison, the institution is confirming that it has consulted with its institutional legal counsel and obtained the appropriate signed release from the applicant.
Signing Up for the InterCAS Transfer Service for Health Professions
Institutions must complete and submit an Invoice Agreement and Sales Tax Exemption Form prior to requesting their first transfer in order to enable this service.
- Download the Invoice Agreement and Sales Tax Exemption Form.
- Submit the completed forms to webadmitsupport@liaisonedu.com to enable the service for your institution.
- Once enablement is confirmed, transfer requests for your institution may proceed.
Processing Overview
- Submit transfer requests via the InterCAS For Health Professions Form.
- Once received, Liaison will identify the applicant's record in the other CAS and initiate the transfer process. Only the following application fields will be populated in the new CAS:
- Contact Information
- Colleges Attended
- Transcript Entry
- Transcripts
- The applicant will be re-verified, and GPA(s) will be calculated.
- Since Liaison will use "dummy" email accounts for the new CAS, the affected applicant will not have login access to the new application during the impacted cycle.
- The school will be notified when the CAS application transfer is complete, and the applicant's record is available in WebAdMIT.
Processing Timeframe
Schools must allow up to 10 business days for the transfer process to be completed.
Cost
The per-applicant fees for Liaison's InterCAS Transfer Service for Health Professions are subject to change every cycle. Liaison will email an invoice to the school at the end of the cycle for all fees.
- For the 2026-2027 application cycle, the per-applicant fee for InterCAS Transfer is $350.
- Invoices are due NET 30 days.
- The institution is responsible for providing any Purchase Order numbers or internal Institution approvals.
- The institution must pay invoices within 60 days, or access to the InterCAS program will be suspended.
