Technical Requirements & Accessibility

Compatible Browsers

A web browser is the program your computer uses to connect to the Internet and access WebAdMIT.

Chrome and Firefox (Preferred)

For the optimum experience, we recommend using the most current version of Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, which work on both Macs and PCs. You can download these browsers for free here:

Safari

Safari is the default internet browser for Apple products and is compatible with WebAdMIT. If you encounter any difficulty while using the most up-to-date version of Safari, try switching to Chrome or Firefox.

Edge

Edge is Microsoft’s most recent browser and is compatible with WebAdMIT. If you encounter any difficulty while using the most up-to-date version of Edge, try switching to Chrome or Firefox.

Internet Explorer

As of June 15, 2022, Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft. Switch to a supported browser to access WebAdMIT.

Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty loading WebAdMIT:

  • Ensure you are using the most current version of a compatible browser, which should support a minimum security standard of TLS 1.2. Most modern browsers already meet this requirement, but if you’re unsure or experiencing issues, you may need to refer to your browser’s help content or consider updating to a newer version.
  • Confirm that Cookies, JavaScript, and Pop-ups are enabled within your browser.
  • Be aware if you are using public Wi-Fi (e.g., libraries, coffee shops), connection speeds may slow down the portal.

To determine your browser's version, and to confirm that Cookies, JavaScript, and Pop-up windows are enabled, visit http://whatismybrowser.com.

Accessibility

WebAdMIT is committed to making our system accessible to all individuals. Visit the Liaison International 508 Compliance Audits and Management page to learn more about our standards and download our VPATs.

If you use a mobile device, you can access WebAdMIT using a compatible browser on your smartphone or tablet. However, for an optimal experience, we recommend you use a computer.

Safe-List IP Addresses

WebAdMIT uses Amazon Web Services (AWS). If your institution uses our WebAdMIT API, you may need to safe-list IP addresses to successfully run those API calls and receive imported files through AWS. You can share this full JSON file containing AWS's recommended IP list with your IT department so they can safe-list these addresses. Be aware that AWS may update these IP addresses as needed. Additionally, your institution's software must have a minimum of version TLS 1.2 to establish a secure connection.

Email Notifications

Emails can sometimes get flagged as junk or spam, which prevents them from appearing in your inbox. To ensure you receive email notifications, you may need to designate us as a trusted source through your email provider. Use these links to obtain your email provider's safe-listing instructions:

Safe-List Email Addresses

Ensure the following email addresses and email domains are safe-listed:

If the emails are not in your spam or junk email folder and you used your institution’s email address, contact your IT Team or Email Administrator. Ask the administrator to safe-list the following IP address: 167.89.98.50. This should resolve the issue for future emails.
