In WebAdMIT for AMCAS, you can link Local Statuses with official AMCAS Decision Codes so that updating an applicant’s Local Status also updates their Decision Code. For example, the Interview (IN) Decision Code should be linked to the Local Status you use when an interview is offered, and the Request Secondary (RS) Decision Code should be linked to the Local Status you use when a secondary application is requested. Linking your statuses to Decision Codes ensures that AMCAS receives accurate, timely information about applicants as they move through your workflow.

When changing an applicant's Decision Code, AMCAS Action Sequence Rules need to be followed. These rules dictate which Decision Code applicants can be placed in based on their current Decision Code.
