New Features and Enhancements

The following enhancements are now available in WebAdMIT for AMCAS. If you have any questions about these features, contact a member of your account team or support.

Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.

Hide Applicant Names for Blind Reviews

This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.

You can now hide applicant names in WebAdMIT so that users can conduct blind reviews. A new Hide Applicant Names permission is available in Work Groups, and when activated, it removes the applicant names from the Dashboard, search pages, and the following areas on the Applicant Details page:

  • Applicant header (first, middle, and last names)
  • Personal Information panel, Biographic Information subpanel (nickname and alternate first, middle, and last names)
  • Personal Information panel, Biographic Information subpanel (preferred first and middle names) (for WebAdMIT for AMCAS users only)
  • Designation panel, Alternate Contact subpanel (name) (for WebAdMIT for AMCAS users only)

Note that this permission does not hide the applicant's name in the full application PDF, reports, or the applicant's email address, where their full name may be listed. You may want to remove access to these sections when conducting blind reviews.

Coming Soon: Deactivation for Inactive Accounts

This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.

In early February 2026, users who haven't logged in to WebAdMIT in the past 18 months will have their accounts deactivated. This enhances the security of WebAdMIT and ensures only current and active users can access applicants and admissions data. To learn more about this and review best practices, visit the Managing Users page.
