Close, Archive, or Delete a Program
Overview
If you no longer need a program, you can close, archive, or delete it. The available actions depend on the program's status and your needs.
Closing a Program
Closing a program is only available for approved programs that are currently available in the application.
If you no longer want applicants to apply to your program, you can close it. Once you close a program, any applicants who have it added to their application can no longer pay or submit to it. The program will remain in their application.
To close an approved program, simply update your program deadline date. If you want to immediately close a program, change the program deadline date to a previous date. For some CASs, you cannot edit the program deadline. If this is the case for your CAS, contact your association client to make the deadline change.
- Hover your mouse over the program and click Details.
- Click Edit at the bottom of the page.
- Change the default deadline field to the new date.
- Click Save.
Once your new deadline date passes, the program status changes to Closed.
Archiving a Program
Archiving a program is only available for approved programs that are currently available in the application. Only association users can archive programs.
Archiving a program is similar to closing a program, where any applicants who have it added to their application can no longer pay or submit to it. The program will remain in their application. The main difference between archiving and closing a program is that when an association user archives a program, the program immediately closes but the original deadline date remains. Archiving is useful if the program user cannot update the program deadline on their own or the association user wants to quickly close programs with a single click.
To archive a program, hover your mouse over the program and click Archive.
Once you archive a program, its status changes to Closed.
Deleting a Program
Deleting a program is only available for programs in a draft status.
If you no longer need a program and its configurations (e.g., you made a new version of the program with updated configuration requirements), you can delete it from your program list.
- Hover your mouse over the program and click Delete.
- Confirm that you want to delete the program. This cannot be undone.
