Specialty-Specific Guidance
OB/GYN Deadline Guidance
Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their application and all supporting materials by the published application deadline. While ResidencyCAS permits submission after the deadline, applicants should understand that many Obstetrics and Gynecology residency programs begin their review process immediately upon receiving access to applications and may not routinely review applications or newly received materials submitted after the stated deadline. Late submission of an application or supporting documents may therefore limit an applicant's opportunity for full consideration. To ensure the broadest possible review by programs, applicants should plan to have their application and all available supporting materials submitted by the deadline.
Emergency Medicine Deadline Guidance
Applicants to emergency medicine and EM combined programs are encouraged to submit their applications by the recommended submission date to ensure that they are available to programs to review at the start of the application review season. Emergency Medicine and EM Combined programs are aware that many aspects of the application, including the SLOE and some exam scores, may not be available to you by this date. Further guidance can be found in the EMRA Advising Guide or the CORD Medical Student and Advisor Resources page.
