Fees
Application fees are based on the number of programs you apply to and are calculated separately for each specialty.* Use our Application Fee Calculator (download and open in Excel) to estimate your total cost.

* For example, if you're applying to 20 OB/GYN programs and 20 emergency medicine programs, you'll pay a total of $270. That includes $99 + (2 × $18) for OB/GYN and $99 + (2 × $18) for emergency medicine.
** Special pricing of $10 per program will be given to applicants applying to 9 or fewer programs within a specialty.
Fee Waiver Program
Requesting a Fee Waiver
The ResidencyCAS Fee Waiver Program is designed to address financial disparities, empower applicants, and promote access to more opportunity across programs.
To request and qualify for a fee waiver, you must complete the fee waiver form and attach evidence confirming that you received a fee waiver for your medical school application process either from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AMCAS or MCAT) or the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM). If approved, you'll receive a fee waiver code for each specialty you indicated you will be applying to.
Using a Fee Waiver Code
You can apply your fee waiver code when you're ready to submit your applications to each specialty. To receive the full value of the waiver, you must submit all 18 programs for that specialty at the same time. If you apply to fewer than 18 programs, the remaining portion of the waiver will not be available for future use. If you apply to more than 18 programs, you'll need to enter payment information for the additional balance.
- Click My Programs in the top right of the application.
- Programs are submitted by specialty. You can either click the Submit Program button for an individual program, or click the Submit # Applications button.
- If you click Submit Program, you’ll see all programs in that specialty and can choose which ones to submit.
- If you click Submit # Applications, you’ll first select the specialty, then choose the programs you want to submit.
- Once you’ve selected your programs, click Continue.
- On the payment page, click the plus icon for Fee Waiver Codes and enter the fee waiver code you received for the specialty.
- Click Add.
- Complete the rest of the payment details pages.
If you use a fee waiver code when submitting to a program, the code will be listed under Payment History.
