Technical Alert: Verifying Domains for Email Deliverability
As notifications from Salesforce have noted over the past several months, all emails sent from your Salesforce org must be sent by a verified domain to ensure deliverability, with enforcement beginning in the Salesforce Spring ‘26 release. This can be done by setting up DKIM keys or adding domains to the Authorized Email Domains list.
We encourage you to confirm that you are using an on-campus email address for all automations in your system. This includes Community emails, Default Workflow User, Email settings, Flows, etc. Using a non-internal user account, such as the TargetX Admin account, for any of these could result in silent failures, causing students or users to not receive these email communications as expected.
After a Salesforce sandbox refresh, you must also re-verify email domains by either setting up DKIM keys or adding them to the Authorized Email Domains list. The refresh invalidates previous verification because the sandbox Org ID changes, necessitating new DNS TXT records to ensure email deliverability. You can find the steps for this process in this article.
