Technical Alert - TargetX May Package Update
[5-4-26 Update]
As we continue to work to address the required updates for Salesforce Connected Apps, we want to keep you informed on important changes and key dates for your team.
- Email Updates
When: Saturday, May 9 at 12:00 PM Eastern
Who is impacted: Email customers using TX Email and Communication Planner

During this maintenance window, there is a possibility of disruption to email sending.
- If you have critical or time-sensitive sends scheduled during this period, we advise you to reschedule them outside this window (for example, before 9:00 AM Eastern on May 9 or after the maintenance completes for May 10).
- May Package Availability and Required Upgrades
When: Monday, May 11
What: All May packages will be made available. Two packages will require mandatory upgrades for impacted clients.
If you use any of the following features, you must upgrade these packages on or after May 11 to avoid impact:
- Online Application PDF Print Snapshot
- Application Review Asynchronous (Cached) PDF Merge
Mandatory package upgrades (if impacted):
- Online Application package (for PDF Snapshot)
- Application Review (Decision) package
Synchronous (on-demand) PDF Merge functionality will not be impacted by these changes.
- TX Apps Updates (TX Print, TX SMS)
When: Monday, May 11
What: Updates to TX Apps (TX Print, TX SMS) will be deployed on May 11.
- You may need to reauthenticate each app (TX Print, TX SMS, Insights) in the TX Apps interface to ensure they continue to function properly.
We will provide an additional update by the close of business on Friday, May 8.
[4-28-26 Update]
For the TargetX May 2026 release, all updates have completed development and testing as planned. However, through recent communication by Salesforce, urgent changes to Connect Apps require additional updates necessary for specific TargetX solutions.
We are working directly with Salesforce to determine the impact and necessary updates to our packages and backend services. Through initial investigation and review, we determined the following updates will be required:
Email backend changes that will require us to update OAuth for each customer.
This will require a maintenance window for both Email and Communication Planner.
An updated Decision package which will be a required upgrade for customers who use the App Review PDF cache feature.
An updated Online Application package, which will require an upgrade for customers who use the Online App PDF snapshot feature.
An updated Offline Event Check In app, requiring an upgrade for customers who leverage this functionality.
TX Apps (SMS, Print, Insights) will need to be re-authenticated for your instance. Our team is evaluating and working through each of these required updates, and we will continue to share information, especially target resolution timing, as available. As we determine finalized timing for these updates, we will send an update by Monday, May 4th.
