Setting the Redirect for Event Registration In Form Assembly

Setting the Required Redirect on the Notification Tab for Event Registration in Form Assembly

TIP: This is best done by copying the redirect value from a working event registration form. If you do not have one, instructions follow on how to build the correct URL, using the Inquiry Form “Site” as an example.

  1. Build a URL based on an existing form site, changing the end of the URL from “form” to “events”. Example:

Enhanced Domains Enabled
Inquiry Form Site: https://[your domain].my.salesforce-sites.com/form

New Events Site: https://[your domain].my.salesforce-sites.com/events

Enhanced Domains NOT Enabled

Inquiry Form Site: https://[your domain].secure.force.com/form

New Events Site: https://[your domain].secure.force.com/events

Note: Please note that your URL should use https://

  1. Append the following to the new Events Site URL:

Targetx_eventsb__formprocess?id=%%SFA_CONTACT%%&rid=%%RESPONSE_ID%%

Resulting URL should be (example):

https://[your domain].secure.force.com/events/Targetx_eventsb__formprocess?id=%%SFA_CONTACT%%&rid=%%RESPONSE_ID%%

  1. Click on the "Notifications" tab.
  2. Below the box for the "Thank you" message (which event forms will not use) enter the URL you built in the box labeled "...or redirect to this page: ".
  3. Scroll down and click Apply.

Setting the Event Specific Re-Direct

Tip: This is the Redirect Link field on the Event creation page in the CRM. For more information, please see How To Create and Update Events.

Redirect Link: Specifies the page that will appear after a registrant completes the event specific registration form. If blank, event specific registration will use the default redirect specified in Events custom settings. If that is also blank, it will redirect to a new blank registration form.

Note: URL specific event redirects are available for Event Specific Registration only. If using the public search page, users will be redirected to the My Registered Events Page after completing registration.
