- Can I customize any of the dashboards?
- There is no customization of dashboards beyond applying available filters and setting targets and mappings for standard stage definitions.
- How up-to-date is this data?
- Data is accurate to within the last 10 minutes. Heroku connect, a Salesforce data replicator, is being used to refresh the data with negligible impact to API usage.
- How can I verify the data I see in Insights is correct?
- All queries used by the visualization are documented in the Help & Support section.
- What if I need a new chart?
- TargetX will be periodically releasing new dashboards and visualizations.
- When will dashboards be ready for other types of programs than undergrad?
- Grad Programs and Community Colleges should be available in the coming months.
- I’m not sure we set up our data in a standard way. Will that affect how I can use Insights?
- You may need to run some scripts to update your data. Premier Services can do this for you or we can provide you with fields needed to leverage Insights.
- How are you going to roll out updates and new content?
- As a SaaS product, new Insights dashboards will made available without requiring package updates. You will see notifications of new dashboards when you login.
- How often are reports updated?
- Data is synched approximately every 10 minutes.
- What is involved in implementation?
- Implementation of Insights is very lightweight, requiring some simple configuration setup by TargetX, synchronization of your data, and mapping of your funnel stages and student statuses to the standard set Insights uses directly in the tool itself.
- Are the dashboards interactive? Can they be drilled into?
- In v1 of Insights, the visualizations cannot be drilled into. However, you can apply several filters to each dashboard to narrow the segment of interest. As we receive feedback from customers, our roadmap will include enhancements in this area.
- Is Insights designed for desktop or mobile or both?
- Insights has been designed to be responsive, so dashboards and visualizations can be viewed on a mobile device. Screen layout will change according to the size of the screen you’re viewing on.
- Are there account/license limits with the Insights subscription?
- No, there are no Insights-specific license limits. You can enable any user from your Salesforce org with Insights access.
- In charts that compare to a ‘previous’ term, how are terms compared?
- Previous term refers to the previous year’s equivalent term. For instance, if you’re looking at data from Fall 2018, then any comparison to the previous term would show you data from Fall 2017.
- Where is our data being stored?
- Data is currently synced from your Salesforce org to a relational database provided by Salesforce called Heroku Postgres. Heroku Postgres, and the syncing tool Heroku Connect, are part of the Salesforce suite of products, so your data never leaves the Salesforce platform.
- Why is the percentage of started application of submitted applications so high?
- Imported applications will likely be submitted as soon as they are created due to the TargetX delivered workflow which sets Application Submit Date. Therefore, if all applications are imported, then 100% of started applications will be submitted applications.
- Can I export or print the data from Insights?
- You can download a csv file for your data by selecting the Explore More icon [] and then selecting Download Report and selecting a Location for the download.
