August '25 Release Notes
This release includes enhancements and defect fixes for the Communication Planner, featuring both a new package and backend deployment.

Communication Planner
Version 2508.2 and back-end update
Email Sending and Template Building
- The handling of sending failures due to date mismatches, test errors, and template behavior has been significantly improved. Additionally, there have been improvements to validation, encryption, and system functions like unsubscribes and synced rows. This enhances reliability and data handling across multiple processes.
- The Template Builder has received enhancements that include accurate list previews, limited condition use, and corrected toggle functionality.
General UI Updates
- Several UI and functionality improvements, including missing success toasts, tooltip problems, and console errors in SMS settings, were made. Additionally, enhancements to conditional logic, time zone handling in version history, and SMS options displayed when Twilio credentials are invalid or missing were made.
- Improvements were made to histogram data, missing or misaligned columns, and broken filtering or search functions. Enhancements improve the visibility of delivery data and address sorting and pagination issues.

The update includes improvements to the address UI and usability issues such as button labeling, missing icons, and incomplete pop-up behaviors. Additionally, enhancements have been made to better handle search input, tag re-adding, and navigation restrictions tied to required fields.
SMS
- SMS functionality was improved to address batch failures, test messages not reaching all members, and the handling of invalid mobile numbers and webhook events, while UI logic was refined to hide SMS options and settings when Twilio is not properly configured and to fix blank SMS templates.
Test Lists
- This update fixes issues with saving and displaying data, including problems with special characters and trimmed names, resolves UI inconsistencies such as incorrect button labels and SMS toggle behavior, and adds the ability to remove phone numbers from Test-List Members.
Track & Campaign Logic
- Track and campaign setup was enhanced to prevent email misfires, skipped steps, data errors, and usability issues such as broken searches and unclear messages.

Communication Planner
Version 2508.2 and back-end update
- (CL-1459) The Individual Contact Activity table shows duplicate records when the track is created with the "Allow more than one email per recipient" option enabled, and the report includes duplicate contacts. Previously, the Individual Email Activity widget on the Contact page combined these into a single Broadcast, which limited users' ability to choose a specific email to resend.
- (CL-2276) The TargetX Communication Planner tab opens without error. Previously, the associated Visualforce page would throw a NullPointerException if a user had a Permission Set Assignment linked to a deleted Permission Set.
- (CL-2317) The Twilio credentials sync status message displays with correct spelling. Previously, the word “credential” was misspelled.
- (CL-2353) Test list recipients are excluded from the recipient count. Previously, the recipient list page displayed incorrect counts compared to the activity list page when duplicate recipients were present.
- (CL-2372) You can create a template in Communication Planner even when images are password-protected. Previously, password-protected images prevented the Template Editor from opening.
- (CL-2416, CL-2434) When a send has zero recipients and no emails are sent, the activity is marked as "Sent: Zero Recipients." Previously, the status in the Activity Center was incorrectly shown as "Failed."
- (CL-2421) Synced rows now display correctly immediately after saving. Previously, a saved row did not appear as a synced row until the editor was closed and reopened.
- (CL-2425) The template list now displays correctly when adding a new Email element. Previously, some templates were missing and triggered a console error.
- (CL-2444) SMS now functions reliably under load. Previously, usage spikes caused the database to exceed CPU limits, resulting in timeouts and errors.

Scheduling Drip Track to run on the day it's created
- Summary: There is a known defect that if you schedule a drip track to run on the day it’s created, the first message will send the next day to allow for processing and recipient finalization.

Time Zone Display Mismatch in Campaign Scheduling
- Summary: Campaign schedules are not disrupted, even when dates appear incorrect. All steps are sent based on the Salesforce (SF) User Time Zone, ensuring accurate delivery.
- Issue Overview: Display inconsistencies may occur when a user's Computer Time Zone is changed after Campaign/Track/Step creation. These bugs affect how dates appear in the UI, but do not impact actual send times.
- Workaround: To ensure consistent display when reviewing or editing campaigns:
- Align Computer Time Zone with their SF User Time Zone.
- Assurance: Despite visual discrepancies:
- Steps will be sent at the scheduled time.
- The issue is display-only.
