New Features and Enhancements
Liaison Letters Enhancements
Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.
Dashboard Search and Load Time Improvements
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
The dashboard has had the following improvements:
- The load speed for dashboard content has increased, which decreases wait times for recommenders to view and access their requests.
- The search bar is more prominent and allows recommenders to search on more fields, including the applicant's name, email, CAS, ID, recommendation type, and program/school (if available).
These enhancements are especially helpful for recommenders who handle high volumes of recommendation requests, enabling them to work more efficiently.
WebAdMIT Enhancements
The following enhancements are now available in WebAdMIT. If you have any questions about these features, contact a member of your account team or support.
Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.
Notification and Deactivation of Inactive Accounts
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
Starting in early November, users who haven't logged in to WebAdMIT in the past 12 months will receive an email notifying them that their account will be deactivated if they don't log in to WebAdMIT within the next six months.
Then, starting in early December, users who haven't logged in to WebAdMIT in the past 18 months will have their accounts deactivated. This enhances the security of WebAdMIT and ensures only current and active users can access applicants and admissions data. To learn more about this and review best practices, visit the Managing Users page.
Updated Pending Transcript Requirement Label
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
For CASs that collect official or unofficial college transcripts, received transcripts are listed in the Documents panel on the Applicant Details page. To help clarify and determine whether a CAS requires transcripts, pending transcripts will be updated to list Not Received or Not Required.
If the CAS requires transcripts or allows programs to set transcript requirements through the CAS Configuration Portal, pending transcripts will appear as Not Received in the Document column. Note that even if your program sets transcripts as not required, pending transcripts will still show Not Received.

If a CAS does not require transcripts, then Not Required will be listed.

Additionally, note the following:
- These changes do not apply to high school transcripts or foreign evaluations.
- While this change automatically applies to all cycles in WebAdMIT, Not Required will only appear for college transcripts once an applicant's data is retransmitted into WebAdMIT. This means that you may not see this change for applicants in the current cycle until their application data is resent to WebAdMIT. Learn which triggers cause an applicant's data to update in WebAdMIT in the How Applicant Data Updates in WebAdMIT article.

| How Applicant Data Updates in WebAdMIT |
In this updated guide, we review how and when applicant data moves between the CAS Applicant Portal and WebAdMIT at certain points in the application process. Once an applicant submits their application, you can view their full application data in WebAdMIT. |
| Identifying New and Updated Applicants |
In this updated guide, we explain how to find applicants who have recently submitted their application to your program or have updated their application since applying. Included are suggestions of WebAdMIT tools and processes you can use to manage these applicants. |
| Sharing WebAdMIT Across Multiple Programs |
When institutions have multiple WebAdMIT users managing multiple programs, WebAdMIT becomes a "shared space," where these users who can configure the software have access to every program's settings and templates. Use this updated guide to learn how to effectively share your WebAdMIT space. |
| Template Naming Tips |
When creating templates in WebAdMIT, we encourage you to use clear and concise names. This updated guide provides additional helpful template naming tips. |

Shared Lookup Table Updates for Spring 2027 |
March 2027 |
Many fields in the CAS Applicant Portal contain predefined answer values that applicants can select; for example, the Country and County fields both have predefined answer values. These values are housed in shared "lookup tables" which are viewable in your CAS's/UniCAS's data dictionary file. Lookup table change requests can be sent to a member of your account team, who will compile and review these requests. New lookup table values will appear in the CAS Applicant Portal in March 2027 (subject to change). Visit the Shared Lookup Table Updates page for more information. |
