Suspended Applicants/Pharmacy Residency Exemption Process
PGY1
Reasons for Suspension
- The Primary Pharmacy Institution you reported is foreign.
- The Primary Pharmacy Institution you reported is not ACPE accredited.
Correcting the Application
To correct your suspended PGY1 application, you must provide one of the following:
- US Pharmacy License
- FPGEC (Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Certificate). This certificate is from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and proves the applicant is eligible to take the pharmacy exams to become licensed as a Pharmacist in the US upon completion of the program.
- Proof of passing the FPGEE (Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Evaluation) AND proof of passing TOEFL iBT
- Proof of enrollment in an accredited US Pharm D program and proof that you are eligible for licensure in the US
PGY2
Reason for Suspension
You are completing or have completed an ASHP residency that is still in the ASHP accreditation process.
Correcting the Application
To correct your suspended PGY2 application, you must provide all of the following information for the PGY1 pharmacy residency that you are or have completed:
- Program name
- Program address
- Residency Program Director name
- Residency Program Director email address
- Date of when you completed or plan to complete your PGY1
