Navigating an Application

Overview

From the applications grid, you can open an application.

  1. Header: displays contact details, signals and tags.
  2. Navigation Menu: use the menu to search for application details and navigate to the different sections of the application.
  3. Timeline: scroll and zoom to view academic history for the application.
  4. Application Details: displays quick insights and allows you to: 
    • View and change the current phase.  
    • View the current interview status.
    • View, add, and remove tags. 
  5. Bookmarks: while reviewing an application, you can bookmark key sections, then from the Applicant Summary, quickly access saved bookmarks and jump to these sections.

Accessing Reviews, Comments, and Other Functions

Important: in ResidencyCAS, evaluation forms are attached to phases, not individual applications. After you create the evaluation form, you'll attach it to the phase where the review takes place. Once an applicant is placed in that phase, the form becomes available for reviewers to complete.

In addition to the Application Details panel noted above, you can use the: 

  • Review panel to complete any review forms. A review form appears here if the applicant is in a phase that's associated with a review.

  • Comments panel to enter comments and review comments entered by other program users.

  • More Options menu (three dots) to perform a series of actions, such as exporting the application or assigning it for review.

Reviewing an Applicant's Activity History

From the More Options menu, you can use the Activity History section to find application milestones, reviewer activity, comments, and email communications.

  1. Search Function: search for keywords related to an activity, such as "email", "review", "phase", or "comment".
  2. Time Window: choose a recent timeframe of activity to view.
  3. Filters: choose from a list of filters to narrow your activity search.
  4. Email Preview: preview an email sent to the applicant.
  5. Email History: view the full history of the email sent.
