Navigating the Applications Grid

Overview 

The Applications section is accessible from the navigation menu.

When you open the Applications section, the Applications Grid displays. The grid is the central hub for viewing and processing applications.

  1. Phases: this area gives you a quick snapshot of how many applications are in each phase of your review process. Click any phase to view the respective applications.
  2. Segments Selector: use this drop-down to view applications by program or segment. By default, all applications are displayed.
  3. Search: use the search field to find applications. You can perform searches using properties like name, email address, program name, phase, etc. 
  4. Holistic Scoring: this feature allows you to select different scoring domains and view the distribution of applicants by score. Additionally, you can change scoring weightings. 
  5. Map View: this option provides a visualization of your applicants' locations.
  6. Segment Builder: allows you to create groups of applicants who match specified criteria. For example, you may create segments for in-state applicants, out-of-state applicants, etc.
  7. Application List: depending on whether you're viewing all applications or a specific segment, this area displays the respective applications. You can:
    • Click any column header to sort by that column.
    • Use the checkboxes to select applications and complete certain actions in bulk. 
  8. Grid Customizer:  allows you to customize the columns that appear in the list view, or return to the default view.
  9. Application Preview: this pane provides a preview of the selected application (click any row opens the application preview). 
  10. Full Application: use this button to access the full application

Customizing the Applications Grid 

When you click the gear icon to open the Grid Customizer, you're presented  with a list of all application fields. To add a field to the grid, click and drag it from the Available Fields section to the Shown on Grid section. You can rename fields in the Shown on Grid section by clicking the existing name and typing the name of your choice. You can also use the checkbox in the bottom-right corner to Make this the default for other users.

As a starting point, you may want to add Signal and Holistic Score – these two items can help draw attention to the applicants you want to prioritize for review. For example, you may want to prioritize reviews for applicants with gold signals and the highest holistic scores.

Working with the Map View

If you switch to the Map View, you're presented with a map that indicates the location of each applicant. To establish what data point is used for the applicant locations, click Map applications by... and select from the available options.

From the map view, you can:

  • Zoom in or out using the + and - buttons. When closely zoomed in, you can view individual applicants. 
  • Use the Map and Satellite options to select your desired view.
  • Switch to a full-screen view using the button in the upper-right corner.
