- Do I need to make any changes to my Twilio account?
- No. Just confirm your Account SID, Authentication Token and Country Code in SMS Settings -> Twilio settings in the communication planner. See Implementing Communication Planner - Liaison.

- Do I need a new messaging service for comm planner?
- No, you can use your existing Twilio messaging service.
- Does the communication planner support other SMS partners, outside of Twilio?
- No. You can enroll in a managed Twilio service with TargetX or enroll in an independent Twilio service to get started with SMS in communication planner.
- What kind of text messaging is supported in the communication planner?
- Currently, only one-way bulk messaging is supported through the communication planner. The 1:1 messaging service tool, SMS Inbox, is scheduled to be delivered to clients in 2025. This FAQ will be updated, and announcements will be made when the SMS Inbox tool is available for TargetX clients.

- How do I handle responses to my bulk messaging?
- If TX SMS is configured with the same credentials (message service ID) in TargetX Home as in TargetX Communication Planner, responses will appear in TX SMS.
We recommend leveraging “No Reply” messaging and setting up auto-response messaging through Twilio.
For example: “Hello! We look forward to seeing you at the event this Friday. Check-in starts at 5 pm at 123 Maple St.
This is an unmonitored number, please email us at admissions@targetxU.edu if you have questions”
OR:
Ex: “Do Not Reply: We look forward to seeing you at the event this Friday. Check-in starts at 5 pm at 123 Maple St. Email us at admissions@targetxu.edu if you have questions.”
- Where can I see recipient status of bulk SMS recipients in the new communication planner?
- You can see ‘received’ data on the Contact record. Reviewing Student Email Activity - Liaison and in the Activity Center.
- Can I use TX SMS AND the communication planner while additional communication tools are released?
- Yes! You can utilize bulk messaging in the new communication planner now and still use TX SMS until SMS Inbox is released to customers.
- When will I be able to message students 1:1 and respond to student messages in the Communication Planner?
- SMS Inbox will enable 1:1 messaging and responding to students within the communication planner. That is expected to be available in late spring of 2025.

- Yes. Bulk messages sent through the Communication Planner will display in TX SMS.
