  • You can view email or SMS content a Contact received from the Email Activity widget to quickly verify sent messages and ensure consistent, accurate communication.
  • You can resend an email or SMS from the Contact’s record if it failed, bounced, or went to spam; this helps ensure successful delivery and consistent communication. 
  • You can view the recipient lists from your sent Quick Messages to better understand who received the message and who did not.
  • If the count on the Recipient totals takes longer to load, a new alert message appears, urging the user to review the Recipient count totals on the associated report.

Email Sending and Template Building
  • The handling of sending failures due to date mismatches, test errors, and template behavior has been significantly improved. Additionally, there have been improvements to validation, encryption, and system functions like unsubscribes and synced rows. This enhances reliability and data handling across multiple processes.
  • The Template Builder has received enhancements that include accurate list previews, limited condition use, and corrected toggle functionality.
General UI Updates
  • Several UI and functionality improvements, including missing success toasts, tooltip problems, and console errors in SMS settings, were made. Additionally, enhancements to conditional logic, time zone handling in version history, and SMS options displayed when Twilio credentials are invalid or missing were made.
  • Improvements were made to histogram data, missing or misaligned columns, and broken filtering or search functions. Enhancements improve the visibility of delivery data and address sorting and pagination issues.
Quick Messages
  • The update includes improvements to the address UI and usability issues such as button labeling, missing icons, and incomplete pop-up behaviors. Additionally, enhancements have been made to better handle search input, tag re-adding, and navigation restrictions tied to required fields.

SMS
  • SMS functionality was improved to address batch failures, test messages not reaching all members, and the handling of invalid mobile numbers and webhook events, while UI logic was refined to hide SMS options and settings when Twilio is not properly configured and to fix blank SMS templates.
Test Lists
  • This update fixes issues with saving and displaying data, including problems with special characters and trimmed names, resolves UI inconsistencies such as incorrect button labels and SMS toggle behavior, and adds the ability to remove phone numbers from Test-List Members.
Track & Campaign Logic
  • Track and campaign setup was enhanced to prevent email misfires, skipped steps, data errors, and usability issues such as broken searches and unclear messages.

Known Issues

  • There is a known defect that if you schedule a drip track to run on the day it’s created, the first message will send the next day to allow for processing and recipient finalization.

  • New fields have been added to the Contact and Lead objects to track bounced emails for primary, alternate, and lead email addresses. Note: TX email bounce fields are not used for emails sent through Communication Planner.

  • Email recipient details are now available in the Activity Center, helping you assess your campaign’s effectiveness and reach. For details, see Navigating Communication Planner.
  • Transfer Images settings allow you to copy existing images directly into the TargetX Communication Planner Images file library, eliminating the need for manual transfers. For details, see Configuring Communication Planner Settings.
  • Batch jobs can be managed from the settings page to simplify the process of running and scheduling Apex jobs. For more information on how to use those scheduled jobs, see Configuring Communication Planner Settings.
  • Test Lists have been enhanced with features like full list deletion and the ability to edit Test List Members, making it easier to manage your testing process. For details, see Creating Email Test Lists.
  • You can send test SMS messages directly from the Element configuration settings and validate them before sending to recipients. For details, see Creating Campaigns.
  • Quick Messages are accessible in the Activity Center, allowing you to monitor and troubleshoot your messages. For details, see Navigating Communication Planner.
  • The Inquiry object is available for use as a merge field and in conditional content.

  • Quick Messages allow you to deliver content to a specific group of recipients as a one-time event. They can be created and scheduled quickly, enabling efficient communication without setting up a full campaign flow.
  • Twilio credentials are no longer required in the global settings page of Communication Planner, enabling Administrators to fully reset credentials, if necessary.
  • Activity Center features an icon on drip track rows, providing detailed insights into drip track activity.  For details, see Navigating Communication Planner.

The TargetX Communication Planner consolidates Email and SMS campaigns into a single tool, enabling you to define Tracks and Steps tailored to your organization's requirements. Salesforce serves as the interface and repository for campaign data and images, while actual campaign execution and related processes remain outside its scope.

  • Campaign Builder is the primary organizational level in the Communication Planner, where you define Tracks, Steps, and Elements.
  • Reports display Charts and Reports on your Campaign statistics.
  • Activity Center lets you view your Campaigns, Tracks, Elements, Status, and Sent details.
  • Template Builder is a tool for creating content/messaging for Email and SMS Templates. All campaigns and templates, including accompanying images, are securely stored within your Salesforce instance.
  • Folders enable you to organize your content for campaigns and templates efficiently.

The Communication Planner is currently unavailable for EU clients but will be available soon!
