Creating QR codes for check-in to Engage on-site rooms

While using Engage remote appointment scheduling is great for holding remote meetings, what if you have students on campus who need to schedule meetings but you don’t want them to share a Kiosk keyboard in your office?

You can create a QR code for your remote login URL that you can post anywhere, so students can sign in on their devices but still have a face-to-face meeting if necessary.

  1. In Google Chrome, navigate to the 3 dots in the top right, then select Extensions > Visit Chrome Web Store:TargetX Engage Chrome Extension QR.png
  2. Search for QR Code Generator. Several extensions are available; choose the extension you prefer.
  3. Then, restart Chrome.
  4. Now, create a new Room for TargetX Engage in the interface.
  5. In the list of rooms, find the room you want to create a QR code and click the  in the top right corner of the card.
  6. Click the Remote Login URL link, and you should see your remote login page in a new tab.
  7. Right-click anywhere on the page, and you should see a menu option called Create a QR Code For This Page.
  8. This will pop up a QR code for this page that you can download and include in any signage you’re posting that directs students to set up Engage meetings.
  9. All they need to do is scan the code, and they’ll be taken right to the signup form.
