Understanding Online Application Security Checks

  • Field-Level Security checks ensure that an applicant can only view or edit the data you allow. Protections are in place to prevent a user from using any update including SOQL queries, to view or edit information on their record they do not have access.
  • Sharing rules prevent users from being able to edit a record to which they do not have access. Please see Targetx Communities Configuration for information on setting up Sharing Rules, Org-Wide defaults, and Field Level Security in your community.

Permission Sets available in Online Application

Permission sets are a group of settings and permissions that control what a user can do. Users can have multiple permission sets assigned to them in addition to a profile. For more information, please see Salesforce's Help and Training article: Introducing Permission Sets.

The TargetX Online Application package includes the following Permission Sets to allow you to assign all needed permissions simultaneously, rather than on an individual object and field level.

  • TX Online App Admin is for Internal users who manage the Online Application product. For instructions on assigning this permission set, please see Assigning Permission Sets to a User.
  • TX Online App Community Site Guest is for unauthenticated Site Users (this can be used in place of 'Public Access Settings'). For instructions on assigning this permission set, please see Assigning Permission Sets to a Site User.
