Release 6 – June 30, 2024
New Features and Enhancements
Cross-Portal Enhancements
Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.
Applicants Can Delete and Replace CAS-level Documents After Submission
For CASs that collect documents in the Supporting Information section, this enhancement must be approved by the CAS association or UniCAS client for use in the current cycle. If activated, this enhancement is available for all participating programs. CAS association and UniCAS clients: contact a member of your account team for more information or to enable this feature.
For some CASs, applicants can upload CAS-level documents in the Documents section under the Supporting Information quadrant, and those documents are shared with all programs the applicant applies to. Currently, applicants cannot delete or replace those documents once they submit their application, and instead are advised to send their programs any updated files. With this enhancement, applicants will be able to delete existing and upload new documents after they submit their application. This allows applicants to more easily manage their application materials and deliver updated information to programs more efficiently.
If this enhancement is activated for your CAS, be aware that there is no audit trail of an applicant’s previously uploaded or deleted documents.
Additionally, note that this enhancement does not impact program-level documents in the Program Materials quadrant. Applicants cannot delete or replace program-level documents once they submit their application.
CAS Applicant Portal
In the Documents section under the Supporting Information quadrant, applicants now have the option to delete and upload a new document after they submit their application.
Liaison Outcomes and WebAdMIT
You can view the most recently uploaded document in Liaison Outcomes and WebAdMIT.
CAS-level Unofficial Foreign Transcript Labels
For CASs that collect unofficial foreign transcripts in the Academic History section, this enhancement must be approved by the CAS association or UniCAS client for use in the current cycle. If activated, this enhancement is available for all participating programs. CAS association and UniCAS clients: contact a member of your account team for more information or to enable this feature.
For some CASs, applicants can upload a copy of their foreign transcript in the Colleges Attended section under the Academic History quadrant. Currently, the application does not differentiate between foreign transcript and foreign evaluation labels and only uses a "foreign evaluation" label, which can be misleading. With this enhancement, CASs can choose to replace "foreign evaluation" with "foreign transcript" to accurately reflect the desired documents applicants should submit.
CAS Applicant Portal
Applicants will see "foreign transcript" listed in the application, and this updated language will be in all instructions and tooltips.
Liaison Outcomes
The label change is reflected in Liaison Outcomes, and uploaded foreign transcripts will be labeled as Foreign Transcripts.
WebAdMIT
The label change does not affect WebAdMIT, and uploaded foreign transcripts will continue to be labeled as Foreign Evaluation.
Liaison Outcomes Enhancements
The following enhancements are now available in Liaison Outcomes. If you have any questions about these features, contact a member of your account team or support.
Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.
New Login Process with Organization Picker
For users that have access to multiple organizations in Outcomes and log in via our generic Outcomes CRM URL, this enhancement is automatically available for use. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
This enhancement is specifically for users who have access to more than one organization in Outcomes and log in via our generic Outcomes CRM URL (https://www.outcomescrm.com). After logging in, you’ll now be presented with a drop-down allowing you to select which organization you’d like to work with. You can still switch organizations by going to the View My Organizations page from the account menu.
Student Portal Pending Accounts Page
For CASs that use the Student Portal, this enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
Students can log in to your Student Portal by navigating to your web address and creating an account. Once they create an account, your account activation email is sent to them. With this enhancement, there is now a Pending Accounts page that keeps track of the accounts that have been created but not yet activated. If students lose track of their activation email, you can access this page to review and resend these messages.
Enhanced Events Portal User Interface
For CASs that use the Events Portal, this enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
Several updates have been made to the Events Portal to improve navigation and make features easier to find. Included in the updates are:
- You can now search for specific communications on the Student Portal Dashboard.
- Event Series information moved to the menu on the left.
- Share Event and Edit Event buttons moved to the top right.
New Role Permissions for Individual Portals
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
New permissions have been added to Role settings to allow for more granular control of access to features in different portals. Among the changes, the Manage Portals permission has been split into:
- Manage Custom Portals
- Manage Inquiry Portal
- Manage Interview Portal
- Manage Reference Portal
- Manage Review Portal
- Manage Student Portal
This allows you can grant access to these features individually.

New Othot Platform User Experience
Behind the scenes, we are working on an overhaul of the Othot application to improve the user experience. We have completed a comprehensive set of user studies and built out the scaffolding for the new application. Over the next few releases, we’ll continue expanding the new workflows and refining them based on your feedback to ensure they meet your needs and improve your experience using Othot.
The redesign includes improvements to the analyze functionality, featuring a streamlined report framework that allows users to easily navigate through simulations and prescriptions. We’ve also enhanced our insights grid experience, making it simple to segment and view insights for a population of students in your model. Additionally, we’ve revamped our dashboards with a more modern look and feel. Our redesign leverages Liaison’s new component library to ensure continuity with other Liaison products.
Stability Improvements
We’re working on infrastructure improvements to improve platform performance and reduce issue occurrences in the future. This includes upgrading and expanding our automated testing suite and enhancing the backend that supports our application.
Data Science Enhancements
The data science team has implemented a monotonicity constraint feature that makes it possible for our models to incorporate prior knowledge about relationships between a given variable and our prediction. This will make our models more intuitive and easier to explain.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue that prevented grid values from loading properly for certain filter types.
- Fixed an issue where the view sorting was not working correctly for some users.
- Fixed an issue that affected platform access for SSO users.
TargetX Enhancements
TX Forms
Base Version 2407.11
- Forms with email fields include email validation to prevent invalid emails from being added to the system and improve contact matching. For details, see Creating TX Forms.
TargetX Resolved Defects
Engage (Version 2407.0)
- (CL-2053) The Return to Queue option populates the student's sign-in information. Previously, when the "Allow requests for advisors checked into this room" option was enabled, returning a student to the queue did not populate any data.
Events (Version 2407.2)
- (CL-1405) Organization Events can be set to private for internal org-wide sharing defaults. Previously, if Organization Events were set to private for internal org-wide sharing defaults, users encountered errors when creating appointments for another user. Please note: setting Organization Events to private for internal org-wide sharing defaults prevents Community Users from viewing Event Poster and Thumbnail images.
- (CL-2088) Sharing an event on X now features the updated logo. Previously, it displayed the former Twitter 'bird' logo.
Online Application (Version 2407.0)
- (CL-2136) The Enrollment History object is now available for setting group visibility conditions for an Attachment. Previously, the Enrollment History object was not selectable when configuring group visibility conditions for an attachment based on Enrollment History.
TX Forms (Base Version 2407.11)
- (CL-2169) Extra spaces in the First and Last Name fields are removed during Event registration. Previously, extra spaces in name fields were saved, leading to the creation of duplicate records.
- (CL-2192) Application Form Types with matching criteria on both Contact and Application match records correctly. Previously, using an Application Form Type and matching criteria on both Contact and Application did not match using the Contact Name or Contact ID fields to match the correct Contact records.
Time2Track Enhancements
The following enhancements are automatically available for Time2Track (unless otherwise noted), and no action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. If you have any questions about these features, contact your Account Manager or customer service.

New DCT/TD User Experience
Starting in mid-July, DCT/TD users will see a new and improved user experience when they log in to Time2Track. This new design not only updates the user experience, but Time2Track will also be fully responsive and will allow any DCT user to successfully review and approve their student's summary of doctoral training on a desktop, laptop, or tablet.
Additionally, the Student Submission Report is now a new section in Time2Track. DCT users can view a list of programs that their applicants have applied to in the AAPI application. Previously, DCT users had to download this report.
This redesign of the DCT user experience is the first milestone in a larger project to redesign Time2Track for all users. Stay tuned for more to come in 2024.
Enhancements for the AAPI 2024-2025 Cycle
Several enhancements have been made to prepare for the new AAPI 2024-2025 cycle, which will appear in mid-July.
Student View
- The Dashboard was updated to streamline content.
- The Non-Practicum Clinical Experience question was removed from the Summary of Practicum Experiences section and moved to the AAPI application.
DCT View
- The Summary of Applicant's Strengths and Area for Further Development are split into two questions, one for the applicant’s strengths and one for their growth areas.
WebAdMIT Enhancements
Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.
Letter Type Name Listed for Program-level Recommendations
For CASs that collect program-level letters of recommendation under the Program Materials section, this enhancement must be approved by the CAS association or UniCAS client for use in the current cycle. If activated, this enhancement is available for all participating programs. CAS association and UniCAS clients: contact a member of your account team for more information or to enable this feature.
Some CASs allow applicants to request different types of letters of recommendation at the CAS level (under the Supporting Information section) and program level (under the Program Materials section) (e.g., graduate credential program recommendation, recommendation with a letter upload, etc.). If your CAS has different recommendation types, a Letter Type column can appear in the Evaluations panel.
With this enhancement, the recommendation type name for program-level recommendations now appears in this column; previously, it was blank. The recommendation type name already appeared for CAS-level recommendations.
Additionally, a new Evaluation Sub Type field that corresponds with the program-level recommendation type name is available in the List Manager and Export Manager under the Evaluators field grouping. These enhancements make applicant evaluation information more easily and readily available.
