Migrating Online Application Forms

Note: You must update both your sandbox Org (ie, ‘Source Org’) and production Org (ie, ‘Target Org’) to Online Application version 1805.x or higher to use this feature. Both Orgs must be at the same version of the Online Application.

Step 1: Export the Application form(s) from your Source Org

  1. Create and test your Application Form (Source Org).
  2. Ensure that your Source Org and Target Org have the latest version of the Online Application package.
  3. Navigate to the TargetX Form Migration tab in the Source Org.
  4. Select Export Forms:
    1. A list of all your Application Forms and a checkbox indicating Reusable forms will be displayed.
  5. Download the form(s) you wish to export by clicking the share icon ( ).
  6. The Download window will display details on the selected form and associated related forms. Both the parent AND any related/reusable forms will be exported.
  7. Click the Download button.
  8. Select the location to save the file and select Save.

Step 2: Import Application Form(s) to your Target Org

Note: Ensure that all fields being mapped in your application forms are available in the Target Org and that the User migrating forms has permission to access them before importing. This includes both Managed and Custom fields.

  1. Navigate to the TargetX Form Migration tab in the Target Org.
  2. Select Import Forms.
  3. Click Upload Files.
  4. Navigate to the folder/file you wish to import and select Open.
  5. The window will display details on the form, including any associated Reusable forms. Both the parent AND any reusable forms will be imported.
  6. Select Proceed to import the form. 
    • The Status will indicate New or Update, depending on whether the form already exists in the Target Org.
  7. The following will NOT be migrated with your forms and should be manually added to your forms prior to testing:
