Quick Start Guide

Overview

eAccreditation facilitates the process for your program to achieve accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). You can use eAccreditation to submit all required accreditation documentation required by CAATE.

Accreditation Essentials

Self Study

The first step toward achieving and maintaining accreditation is to complete a self study. CAATE has specific standards by program type, and you can use the Self Study page to record your program's self-evaluation. The program director must complete the entire set of standards and submit them to CAATE. The self study report includes:

  • Completing a compliance statement for all standards.
  • Uploading required supporting materials for standards, where applicable.
  • Acknowledging accreditation submission to CAATE from the program officials.

Program Directories and Student Information

The second step toward achieving and maintaining accreditation is to record your program's directory and student information. Your program's directory includes information about your faculty, clinical sites, and preceptors. You must update and submit this information to CAATE with the self study.

Additionally, you must report your student's information and outcomes. These are further described in the Self Study and Standards page.

Annual Report

To maintain accreditation, you must submit your annual report. All accredited Professional, Post-Professional Degree, and Post-Professional Residency Programs must submit their annual report by October 1 each year through eAccreditation; this includes programs that are completing self-studies or have site visits during that year.

While annual reports open annually, you can update your student, faculty, preceptor, and clinical site profiles at any time. Additionally, all student cohorts should be updated before you submit your annual report.
