New Features and Enhancements
Cross-Portal Enhancements
Liaison's suite of portals work together to help you collect and manage applications. The CAS application, also referred to as the CAS Applicant Portal, is the system where applicants find and apply to your programs. You receive these applications in WebAdMIT or Liaison Outcomes, where you perform your review processes. The appearance of your program and your requirements are customized in the CAS Configuration Portal, where you establish the program-specific elements that your applicants will interact with. Additionally, your program may use one or more of the following tools and platforms:
- API: a data integration tool.
- CAS Applicant Gateway: a platform for applicants who have already submitted their CAS application to complete and upload additional materials requested by their programs.
- CAS Liaison Analytics and Othot: advanced analytics solutions and data reporting tools.
- CAS Liaison Letters: a platform for evaluators to submit their letters of recommendation.
- Enrollment Marketing and TargetX: customer relationship management (CRM) systems for student lifecycle management.
- Living Profile: a platform where students can connect their academic pursuits with their career aspirations.
- SlideRoom: a platform for collecting digital portfolios.
- Time2Track: a platform for tracking, verifying, and managing experiences.
Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.
Annual Spring Lookup Updates
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
Many fields in the CAS Applicant Portal contain predefined answer values that applicants can select; for example, the Country and County fields both have predefined answer values. These values are housed in shared "lookup tables." Periodically, we update these tables to include additional response options.
The new lookup table values include updates to colleges, ISO codes, majors, and minors. Review the Shared Lookup Table Updates page for a full list of updates. Note that the Master High School List will be updated in the next release.
These lookup table updates impact the following portals, some of which you may use. If you created a "crosswalk" from our portals to your local data in your SIS/CRM, you may need to update this crosswalk for the newly-added options. For guidance on the optimal implementation of the new values, review the Shared Lookup Table Updates page.
Country and State Fields for Achievements
Available to CASs on the CAS 3+ platform, this enhancement must be approved by the CAS association or UniCAS client for use in the next cycle. If activated, this enhancement will be available for all participating programs in the next cycle. CAS association and UniCAS clients: contact a member of your account team for more information or to enable this feature.
CASs on the CAS 3+ platform using the standard Achievements section can choose to collect and require country and state data for an applicant's achievements, such as:
- Awards
- Honors
- Presentations
- Publications
- Scholarships
This can help CASs and programs learn more about an applicant's achievements, especially for international achievements.
CAS Applicant Portal
When applicants enter their achievement data under the Supporting Information section, the Country and State fields are now required.
CAS API, Liaison Outcomes, and WebAdMIT
Achievement country and state data is now available in exports, data extractions, lists (WebAdMIT), segments (Liaison Outcomes), and POST & GET SupportingInfo v3 Jumpstart endpoints (CAS API).
CAS Configuration Portal Enhancements
The following enhancements are now available in the CAS Configuration Portal. If you have any questions about these features, contact a member of your account team or support.
Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.
Bulk Edit Documents
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs that offer program-level documents and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
Some CASs allow you to request or require program-specific documents from applicants. You can now manage these program-level documents in batch through the Bulk Edit button on the Organization Details page. This allows you to quickly and efficiently configure document requests, minimum and maximum requirements, and instructions across all your programs.
Note that the Bulk Edit Programs button has been renamed Bulk Edit, and you can now select the type of bulk editing option you want to do from the drop-down (e.g., program attributes or documents).

Liaison Outcomes Enhancements
The following enhancements are now available in Liaison Outcomes. If you have any questions about these features, contact a member of your account team or support.
Disclaimer: on rare occasions, a new feature or enhancement may be moved to a future release or otherwise subject to change.
Text Field Validation
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
Text fields in Outcomes now offer validation to support different types of content. With this enhancement, three validation modes are supported:
- Plain Text Only (no HTML or JavaScript allowed): these are standard fields, like names or single-line responses.
- HTML Allowed (no JavaScript): these fields support basic formatting such as bold, italics, and links, but block JavaScript. Ideal for instructional or informational fields where formatted text is helpful.
- JavaScript Allowed: these fields support full JavaScript expressions. Used for advanced scenarios such as calculated properties.
As part of this enhancement, all Outcomes text fields are assigned to one of these validation modes. This ensures each field supports the intended functionality while protecting against invalid or unsafe input.
Event Invitation and Registration Merge Fields
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact a member of your account team for more information.
To improve Event email communications and support more personalized messaging, new event-related merge fields are now available in Outcomes. Depending on the Audience type, you'll now see two separate merge fields when creating event communications:
- Event Link (event.link): available for Invitation emails. Directs recipients to the event page where they can view details and register.
- Registration Link (registration.link): available for Reminder emails. Provides a personalized link to the recipient's existing registration so they can view details and complete event actions.
This enhancement allows you to send more relevant invitations and reminders and ensures recipients receive the correct link based on their registration status.

Shared Lookup Table Updates for Spring 2026 |
April 2026 |
Many fields in the CAS Applicant Portal contain predefined answer values that applicants can select; for example, the Country and County fields both have predefined answer values. These values are housed in shared "lookup tables" which are viewable in your CAS's/UniCAS's data dictionary file. Lookup table change requests can be sent to a member of your account team, who will compile and review these requests. New lookup table values will appear in the CAS Applicant Portal in March and April 2026 (subject to change). Visit the Shared Lookup Table Updates page for more information. |
