• A new Room Details field was added to the Engage Room object. This displays over the poster image and provides additional details about the room (e.g., its purpose or related instructions). For more information, see Engage Room Settings.

• A new setting, Allow Students to Create New Contact Record, prevents students from creating a Contact record if no match is found in the system when unchecked. This allows you to determine how records are created in your Engage Rooms. For details, see Engage Room Settings.

  • Engage Room Settings will only be available for Admins.
• The logic for determining Engage Advisors or Admins has been updated:
  • For the system to consider a User an Advisor, the assigned Permission Set label must contain the text: Engage Advisor.
  • For the system to consider a User an Admin, the assigned Permission Set label must contain the text: Engage Admin.

• Administrators can now set up Engage as a remote appointment scheduling queue. Previously, it only worked as an on-site queue for in person appointment scheduling.
• Allows students to sign up for Engage appointments remotely.
• Allow advisors to send customized SMS messages on picking up students to help direct students to potential online meeting tools.
• Prevent students from checking in to a room when outside the room's Hours of Operation.
