Release 2 – March 6, 2022
New Features and Enhancements
CAS Application Enhancements
Annual Spring 2022 Lookup Updates
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
Many fields in the Applicant Portal contain predefined answer values that applicants can select; for example, the Country and County fields both have predefined answer values. These values are housed in shared "lookup tables." Periodically, we update these tables to include additional response options.
The new lookup table values are now available in the Applicant Portal.
These lookup table updates impact the following portals, some of which you may use. If you created a "crosswalk" from our portals to your local data in your SIS/CRM, you may need to update this crosswalk for the newly added options. For guidance on optimal implementation of the new values, review the Shared Lookup Table Updates for Spring 2022 page.

Custom Program Plans Question
This enhancement must be approved by the CAS association or UniCAS client for use in the next cycle. If activated, this enhancement will be available for all participating programs in the next cycle. CAS association and UniCAS clients: contact your Account Manager for more information or to enable this feature.
CASs can now create a custom Program Plans question and answer values, which can be used by programs in WebAdMIT. This enhancement allows CASs to tailor the Program Plans question to their applicants.
WebAdMIT
The custom program plans question will be available in:
- The In Progress Applicant search page as a filter.
- Pre-configured exports for application statuses that you have partial viewing rights to.
- The Applicant Header, List Manager, and Export Manager.
Admissions by Liaison Enhancements
The following enhancement is now available in Admissions by Liaison. All enhancements are automatically available to all CASs and participating programs using Admissions by Liaison. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. If you have any questions about these features, contact your Account Manager or support.
Manual Changes to Application Data Allowed
By default, when working with a CAS, Admissions by Liaison overwrites its existing application data upon importing updated application data. With this enhancement, sections of the application can be locked to prevent overwritten data. This allows you to make manual changes to things like test scores, citizenship information, or contact information without having your edits overwritten by updated information from CAS.
After locking a section of the application, you can choose to allow updates again by clicking the lock icon.
Applicant Portal Enhancements
Gender/Sex Answer Values Reordered
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs that use the standard Gender/Sex question. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
The Gender/Sex answer values are now alphabetized:
- Female
- Male
- Decline to State (if available in the CAS)
CAS API Enhancements
The following enhancement is now available in the CAS API. All enhancements are automatically available to all CASs and participating programs using the CAS API. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. If you have any questions about these features, contact your Account Manager or support.
Apply JSON Validation to All API Request Bodies
The CAS API now applies JSON validation to all request bodies. If a validation error occurs, the API will return a HTTP 400 Bad Request with details about the validation error.
For more information, visit the CAS API technical reference page.
Time2Track Enhancements
The following enhancements are now available in Compact2Learn, MyInternshipJournal, and Time2Track. All enhancements are automatically available unless otherwise noted, and no action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. If you have any questions about these features, contact your Account Manager or support.
Chat Feature in Time2Track Help Center
Trainees, faculty, supervisors, and DCTs can now contact the customer service team via chat through the Time2Track Help Center. This enhancement allows users to select an additional option for their preferred method of support.
Status Date Reflects User's Local Time Zone
The Status Date under My Forms now displays the user’s local time zone. Previously, the Status Date was on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Managing Roles | The Managing Roles article has been updated with new roles, definitions, and links to corresponding features for each role. |
Creating Translation Tables | We have added a section to the Application Exports article that explains how to create translation tables. Translation tables allow you to convert data from one form to another, which may be useful when importing into other systems, or when building applicant scores. |
Exporting Race and Ethnicity Data as One Column per Race/Ethnicity |
We are building an Advanced Configuration Library for Admissions by Liaison. This library provides guidance to help you build custom configurations in the software. As it is built out, you'll find more options that you can implement to enhance the way Admissions data is presented, exported, or filtered. This configuration provides three alternative formats for exporting race and ethnicity data, as opposed to the default string format. |
On occasion, applications may include dates in non-date fields. This configuration allows you to convert these fields, formatting them as date fields. | |
This configuration allows you to create a unique, application-scoped identifier for applications by combining CAS and Program IDs. This ID can be used to identify applicants across Liaison products. |

Your CAS determines the visibility option in WebAdMIT for each application status. You may see a full view of the applicant's information, a partial (i.e., limited) view of their information, or you may not be able to view applicants at all within certain application statuses. Review the visibility options in this guide to better understand your viewing ability and how it can affect your application review process. |
