TargetX Upgrades

Before You Begin

• Review all steps in the upgrade guides before beginning any upgrades. 
• We recommend completing all upgrades in a sandbox environment before upgrading in production. Once packages are installed into your production environment, they cannot be uninstalled or rolled back.
• Your sandbox should have been created or refreshed within the last 30 days. Ensure any work done in the sandbox is moved to production or another sandbox before refreshing.

Important Considerations

When upgrading, be aware of the following: 

• All packages are included in the current upgrade guides, regardless of whether a new package was released. This is to support upgrading all packages to the most recently available version. 
• When installing packages, we recommend you choose "Install for Admins Only." This will give you greater control over the assignment of new object permissions for your users. 
• The upgrade instructions assume you are using the Enhanced User Profile View. If you use the Salesforce Standard View instead, your layout will be different, but the required updates will remain the same. Learn more about activating and deactivating the Enhanced User Profile Interface. 
• Permission Sets do not automatically update during upgrades. If additional permissions are needed, you will need to manually update any existing permission sets.
