Quick Start Guide for Administrators

Overview

Welcome to WebAdMIT, a cloud-based admissions management platform that provides users with tools to streamline their admissions processes. Using WebAdMIT, admissions staff can:

  • Manage each applicant as they progress through the admissions cycle.
  • Manage collective groups of applicants.
  • Obtain holistic views of applicant pools.
  • Take full advantage of applicant data to make the best admissions decisions.

If you're new to WebAdMIT, we recommend you start by visiting Liaison Academy for a thorough overview of key concepts and functionality.

Logging in to WebAdMIT

Create a WebAdMIT Account

To obtain a WebAdMIT account, contact the primary user at your institution. This user can create an account for you, place you in the appropriate Work Group, and give you access to the appropriate program(s). You then receive an email with directions on how to log in to WebAdMIT and create a password.

If you are creating accounts for other users, review the Creating and Managing Users section.

Access an Existing Account

  1. Go to WebAdMIT.
  2. Enter your email address associated with your WebAdMIT account.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Select Remember me? if you want your browser to remember your login credentials. This feature is dependent on your browser and its settings.
  5. Click Log In.

If you log in and complete the CAPTCHA confirmation, but are returned to the CAPTCHA page, try these recommendations:

Reset Your Password

Your password information is not accessible by customer service. To retrieve your password:

  1. Click the Forgot username or password? link on the login page.
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account under the Email address field.
  3. Click Submit.
  4. Follow the instructions in the email you receive to reset your password. You must create and confirm a password which:
    • Is a minimum of eight characters,
    • Contains at least one uppercase letter,
    • Contains at least one lowercase letter,
    • Contains at least one number or special character, and
    • Avoids common keyboard patterns (e.g., qwerty) or common words (e.g., names).

Configuring WebAdMIT

WebAdMIT is a powerful tool that can be configured according to your admissions process. Once you become familiar with the basics noted above, you should map your current application review workflow so you can adapt it using WebAdMIT's features; use our Application Review Workflow article as a guide.

Note that to minimize downtime for users, WebAdMIT upgrades occur every Sunday from 7 – 10 AM ET. Additionally, you can visit our Status Page to view and subscribe to system status updates.
