Retention Quick Start Guide for Administrators
Overview
Familiarize yourself with where to find information in Retention.
Student Engagement
The Engagement and Intervention workflows use data collected about a student to enable follow-up activities. For example, for low-risk students, you may have automatic reminders sent to purchase books on the first day of class. For at-risk students, you might configure a survey where Faculty can enter responses based on changes in student behavior that trigger an email or phone call from an administrative advisor or call center.
- Intervention workflows can be established through Action Plans, Email, or Text campaigns for individuals or groups based on specific indicators.
- Use Surveys to make student success a two-way street by soliciting feedback from your current students. You can push out surveys and collect the results in the CRM.
- Appointment Scheduler allows students to schedule appointments or staff to schedule time with students. Staff can also define a Profile and availability to track meeting outcomes.
Administration of TargetX Retention
The TargetX Implementation Team will complete your initial installs and configuration. The table below identifies the components you may need to review or update to manage your configuration.
- Sharing options enable your institution to configure the ‘allowed roles’ for viewing (i.e., private, public, role-specific). Using Communication Selections/Controls on the Advising record, you can relate Success Team members, whether the advising record is private or if any ‘sharing options' exist.
- If you wish to make the Advising object private, you must turn on Sharing Settings, which will limit non-System Administrators to only be able to view records they created as public or private.
- If you prefer that advisors not see the records in Salesforce at all without turning on sharing settings, then you can remove the Related List from page layouts.
